I wasn't planning on reading this book, but I needed something short for a weekend getaway. It's all about loneliness and the unspoken pressures that women face at work and at home just because they're women.
The main character had me totally convinced that I missed a few chapters and her pregnancy was actually real. The way she interacted with other moms broke my heart, especially that conversation at the end. Being a mom means losing yourself completely and having everyone and their grandma share their unwanted opinions.
I had a good time reading this one, but I wished there was more self-reflection from the protagonist and a bit more conflict to spice things up
