i wish i could give this more than 5 stars

but wtf was that ending! i need more like yesterday…but so good

just what i expected and more! i love how theories were both confirmed and broken…and now it’s time for more.
because…xaden? what are you doing? and where’s everyone else? what does imogen know? does taken remember? what has andarán gone through? god i need answers!!!!!!

Wow. She’s done it again. Left us stranded on a cliffhanger so heartbreakingly tragic…I love it.
This was…amazing. Really, that’s all I can truly say about this book. It was exhilarating, emotional, dark, adventurous, and had some of the best world-building I’ve experienced so late in a series. I especially loved how Xaden was loving on Violet OUT LOUD in this book. Like yes, we always knew he loved her, but he’s actually saying it and showing it…in front of others! That was honestly my favorite part (but also Ridoc’s amazing quips!), because it really made this boom feel as through its a love letter being written by the two of them. And knowing what the ending is…that just makes it sweeter and so much sadder at the same time.
People have been criticizing this book for its rushed-ness and ‘bad writing’…but I really don’t know what they’re talking about. I read for enjoyment, for relaxation, and because I love the story. This book was all I wanted and more from the third installment of The Empyrean. As a third book, it didn’t exactly what it was supposed to - advance the plot, answer some questions, and leave us with many more for the final two books of the series. The theories that this book confirmed as well as broke/shattered…but then formed? Perfection. I loved this book so much, and cannot wait till she releases the ending we’re all waiting for.

Wow. Just...wow. This book was intense, so definitely pay attention to the content & trigger warnings, but if you're ok with them, you are in for a fast-paced, intense, yet amazing story!
Sable has been living in what can be called hell for her whole life. She's been used & abused from the moment she came into this world & has no hope of ever being able to leave & live her own life. That is until one of the worst nights of her life turns into her salvation, when her boss saves her & allows her to truly have a family & love as she always had hoped and dreamed.
Archer is a shrewd man, who just wants to trust & help his cute assistant. He's spent the past few years trying to protect her as much as he could, but when she does a stupid thing, he knows that he cannot abandon her. He's ready to be her savior… and her husband.
The trauma I mental health representation in this book was just amazing. Sable's story literally brought me to tears. With the addition of the LGBT rep in some of the major characters, and the growth you see in everyone…this book was just heartwrenching & yet also sweet at the same time. And let's not forget to mention those spicy scenes-the consensual ones that is (because why would the abuse scenes be hot-I was crying through them all!) They were hot, sweet, and incredible at the same time. I'll be honest, I came for the smut, but stayed for the amazing story of resilience & healing that I read!
