I liked this book. Not every short stories, but it was fun. BUT Ashley Herring Blake left a sour taste. Like, it's not because you have a crush on an enby person, that you are be. Gay and lesbians can be/date enbies. Also, imagine there's someone telling you that her name is now Jenna, but you're still call her by her (what can be considerate) deadname. Even if it's in your head/thougts... I swear to god I thought I was gonna throw my kindle under a car

This is not me rating the book "story' because you can't rate someone's life and experience.

This books was really interesting. I'm notnreligious and don't know a lot about religions. So listening/reading someone's experience with religion and queerness was interesting.
The author shed light on things we don't really think about us as white queers. Immigration, experience with religion, experience with family, loosing everything you know, struggling w/ identities, not seeing yourself anywhere.

Sometime though the writing felt a off, like fla  and slow. But nothing too bad obv. Also i want to see her work

Okay. Hit too close to home hein.

AITA For trying to make my crush jealous and killing a guy by accident  because I made his d!ck explode?

That's it. That's the premise of this book. I loved that we have a whole queer friend group trying to deal with their mess. But the book... at first I was like "meh the writing feels off". Then "okay... this is interesting..." and finally "wait. That's it? The book is over? Just like that?"

So yeah. The story is enjoyabl , but Kind of underwhelming. Especially the ending. It feels like something is missing

Je pensais que c'était un GL avec la couverture. La couverture est super belle. Bon c'est pas un GL, mais c'est vraiment bien. Un magnifique livre, une histoire dure mais belle.

At first, I was... more than perplexed. But I started enjoying the book. Is it perfect? Not really. The pacing was off sometimes and the author lost me. But the characters are good and we get attached to them. I just wish we saw more of Alilyah and Zion. Especially the first one. Kind of hard to understand her
