Kiss of the Basilisk by Lindsay Straube
4.0
I read Kiss of the Basilisk in its indie format first and it was one of the most unique and out of pocket things I read all of last year, and that's exactly what I expected it would be. Holy guac. It was the perfect book for a buddy read where we could react to the insanity together.
Despite the page count, the ending felt a little rushed, and I felt like some characters didn't get full closure, but we are getting another book! I wish that the bonus chapter at the end was part of the actual story! iykyk. The new bonus chapter for this traditionally published release makes me so excited for the next book. I can't wait to see what Lindsay gives us next!
Thanks to Bloom and NetGalley for an eARC of this book for an honest review.

My Date With Caps Lock by Thea Masen
4.0
An unexpected love story between a writer and the alphabet. No, really, that's what it is. The FMC has written 69 sex scenes but now has writer's block. Will an old typewriter bring her inspiration?
It was an absolutely insane little read, but so much fun. I laughed out loud several times over it's less than 50 pages. Another fun time brought to us by Thea.
