I don't care what anybody says, I loved this.
Listen, if there's one thing I live for, it's angst. And this had ANGST. It was the angstiest book I've ever read. The amount of pining that occured?? Inject it into my veins.
Was it ridiculous at times? Sure. But when I open a Tessa Bailey novel, I know what I'm getting into. And frankly I found a lot of it to be *less* gimmicky than her other books. I really appreciated the way that their relationship developed andbhow holding back their romantic feelings for so long caused them to focus on everything else about each other and truly become best friends.
And maybe it's because my husband is my best friend, but I get their relationship. To some people, it may seem unrealistic, but to others, it's reality. I love my husband in the obnoxious way these characters love each other, and I'm not sorry lol
