“Are we girls or are we demons?” 

I was so impressed by this book, it’s been on my tbr for a while and finally got round to reading it. The world building and character building is great and as someone who is fairly new to YA fantasy I loved this so much. 

It’s violent, it’s harrowing - it’s truly emotional. I always measure how good a book is by how it affects me, can I feel the emotions, can I imagine the world in my head…I cried so much at this book, the suffering, the emotional weight, the trauma Deka has to endure - but her bravery is unmatched, her vulnerability is commendable. It’s a lot in the best way and an absolute must read! 

I can’t wait to read the second book, if it’s anything like this one? WOW!

I just finished this ARC I received from Mary Warren and oof all the feels. As someone with ADHD I got really emotional about this, having always felt similar ways as Alice does, not feeling enough or feeling like there’s something majorly wrong with you because you can’t hold down the same jobs as others and feeling stuck, like you have to fit into a box you were never meant to fit into. To feel seen and understood in a romantic story is incredible but to be seen as a neurodivergent Plus sized woman is everything to me. 

Thank you for gifting us this spicy, holiday fuelled romance that is so incredibly fluffy and gorgeous. This was my favourite by far and I’ve rated all of the Glendale magic series highly so I think that says all you need.
