I found the book to be very informative but it did not necessarily meet my expectations. The writing style is too academic and dense for me to be able to truly enjoy and absorve. The most interesting section was the final one regarding education.

Really enjoyed this book, the writing is very particular which I think adds to it. I didn’t find it hard to understand or make sense of, I enjoyed the style. However, I preferred the first half to the second half,  I found the second to be a a lot slower.

An enjoyable ride. However, I did find it hard to keep up with as it jumps a lit between scenes and people. Will probably read the next one and I think seeing the play might be more rewarding.

What a beautiful piece of writing. Not at all what I expected, 100 times better. I am now a fan of Evelyn Hugo and wish she was real.

The queer story we all deserve. Beautifully written and extremely engaging. I was completely transported to Patroclus’s world - an extremely lovable character by the way. I couldn’t put this book down and it’s the fastest read I’ve completed in a while. Be ready to cry, I thought I was going to be fine, I was not.

This book was such a joy, a beautiful homage to humanity, all of ours myths and the beauty we are capable of. The chapter on
advice for a human
was so heartwarming and thoughtful. Matt Haig always managed to leave me with a sense of hope and wonder, Humans is not exception.

Incredibly enlightening. This book is a lovely companion to the journey of self discovery, our place in the cosmos and the dangers and the dispensability of religious beliefs.

It is quite a revelation to discover that the place you wanted to escape to is the exact same place you escaped from.

Wow, what a beautiful and touching book. Lately I have found that the books I need to read just simply appear in my life and this was not an exception. The story and concepts explored are fascinating and I deeply resonate with the characters challenges. Thank you for soothing my current existential crisis and guiding me through some pretty powerful realisations. After making me cry and making me smile, I left the Midnight Library with a new found understanding of life’s potential.
