Rainbow Rowell does such a great job with teen crushes, obsession, love. And Slow Dance is a great update of that format with a significant chunk of the book focused on the present-day adults. The MC’s communication challenges got a little old, but I loved this nonetheless. 

Good lord this was cringey and unoriginal. 

A bit repetitive and sometimes obscure. Otherwise beautifully crafted. 

Just brilliant. 

I almost DNF’d this one—the Beamer section is just so relentlessly bleak—but once I was able to read in longer chunks, and moved on to other sections, things really picked up. Still bleak, but with more humor and less repetition. 

Looking for more of Anita Kelly’s work, stat. 

Propulsive, emotionally affecting and really fascinating. 

Just really did not care about these essays. 

Laura Lippman is so good.

The big twist at the end is so good, and the logic is flawless.

Not my usual genre, but I gobbled it up.
