this book was sooo meh. just didn’t go anywhere or do anything. booktok failed me as it often does 

hated the big twist & generally how it devalued violet’s accomplishments at basquiath in book 1. still tore through it

honestly I was fine w this one and the way it builds as a series to complicate our romanticizing of the “beast” figure… SJM was up to smth good and she knew it! So just get through this one
