Nobody, NOBODY, warned me of the full range of emotions I would feel while reading this book!!! I mean, excuse me?! Where were the trigger warnings?!!
I consumed this book. Started it today and finished it today. The main characters struggles with family and her mental health hit so close to home in so many ways. I adored the bits of humor and the author’s ability to adequately write a 4 yr old character, although some of the dialogue towards the end did feel a bit scripted—like an after school special—but overall, I loved it. Thanks to my friends Jenn and Brittney for officially making me a CoHo fan!!

The Overdue Life of Amy Byler by Kelly Harms

This was a very fun and entertaining read. I was not expecting it to be about a single mom running away to New York for a “momspringa” (I didn’t read the description before picking it up… oops?) but it made me laugh. It was refreshing to read a romance about a middle-aged, single, librarian mother. I will say that it seemed a bit glamorous of a life for a single librarian mom of two, but I enjoyed reading it all the same.
