I am utterly surprise of how much I loved this book after all the hype it has received, but I can definitely say this book is worth the hype. Violet and Xaden *chef’s kiss* they were made for each other and the twist at the end…. Amazing!!

I was so excited to go into this book because the synopsis sounds so intriguing about mothers and an incident involving one of their children. I just trudged my way through this novel instead of really enjoying it.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 25%.
Thank you to NetGalley and Random House for sending me this e-arc!

The premise of two serial killers finding each other, becoming partners in crime and then having a baby is an intriguing premise, but I could just not get invested into this story. I found that the main characters were a bit dry. I really wanted to love this story but unfortunately I did not.

While reading this beloved novel, I felt a bit apprehensive because for about 60% of the book, I found it to be merely acceptable, lacking the compelling pull that made me want to continue reading. However, the last 40% of the novel truly elevated the reading experience, revealing the reasons behind its immense popularity and high ratings. This emotional journey left a profound impact on me, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who cherishes books.
