Ah! I loved this! Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples' recommendation list has started out well.

Wowowow. There is something so liminal in these poems. They all feel like tiny pocket universes.

Few poets can bring humor into their work as seamlessly as Dorothea Grossman did. Though many of these made me snort with laughter, it was often the more sad and poignant undertones that made me reread. Her poetry was spare, subtle, funny, moving, and clever. This collection, published posthumously after her sudden death in 2012, captures the delight with which she viewed the world. Even the most simple observations became something special under her deft pen. My only grievance is that they really could not have chosen a worse font to print in. This collection is utterly delightful, and I would recommend it to anyone.
