I found the MFC a bit on the annoying side. She is too whiny and high strung to enjoy following as a MFC. In spite of this, I loved Beejee, Cali, & Lorna. All three of them were hilarious and kept me entertained. I loved Beejee’s sassiness. These three characters kept me reading on even though the MFC’s demeanor almost caused me to DNF the story.

“A Debt of Shattered Hope” addresses many issues that are very much prevalent in our world today. These are difficult topics to address and the brutality of them is unfathomable to comprehend. Despite the hard-hit of these topics, Cáceres melds them into this story that has the potential of to heal shattered souls and a the potential to blossom a love story that rises from the ashes of a completely shattered heart and hope. It’s a story of resilience and overcoming adversity. I look forward to reading what happens next for these characters.
