"You were hurt." It wasn't a question but a statement uttered in a hard-as-granite tone. "You can be assured that will never happen again.

I throughly enjoyed all of this book. I was so nervous to pick it up!! I’ve seen a dramatic difference in reviews from loving this and absolutely hating it. I’m a bit concerned that when picking up this novel some people thought this would be an epic fantasy novel, it is not that, but what it is, is still amazing. The twists are SO fun and the last line is just delicious!!! I started reading the 2nd book IMMEDIATELY!

You're an absolutely, stunning, murderous little creature."

From the easy to follow writing to a loving main character, I ate this book up! The love interest is so fun and the way the Poppy continues to push the envelope is very entertaining and makes a fast paced plot. Some of my favorite tropes were in here, for example: the “who hurt you” trope.

There was also some parts I didn’t enjoy.
This novel is label as an adult fantasy romance. It is not that, in my humble opinion, this would be considered a YA fantasy. The “spicy” scenes were very mild and did not explain anything in detail. (To my disappointment, might I add) and I have to admit that I was expecting something with a little smut, and I did not receive that, so it definitely did sway my thoughts a bit.

Overall, I will be continuing this series as I throughly enjoyed the story 🥰

Can we just give a moment of silence for the beautiful novel that I just had the pleasure of reading?

I mean come on, I’m SWOONED. Altas Corrigain is the ultimate book boyfriend. This book is just everything the readers needed as a sequel to ‘It Ends With Us’.
This is hands-down, a five out of five for me Colleen Hoover has such a straightforward way with words, and I just absolutely love her love stories for how real they are. I’m always able to relate to at least one characters in her books in a way that always makes me cry.

The part that I love most about this book is that even though it’s primarily about Lily and Atlas’s relationship, it’s still a realistic transition into a real adult relationship. Let me explain, it’s not just lovey-dovey. It really tells what would happen from trauma from abusive relationships, and from the childhood that they came up in. One of the things that I love the most about Colleen Hoover is that she brings real situations to light in her novels.

I could honestly go on and on about how much I loved this book, but I THINK YOU SHOULD RUN AND READ IT!!!
