I felt like I was rolling my eyes at every second sentence that Jamie said, but the plot was good and the rest of the other characters were great.

Also I kind of didn't understand why he hated Spider so much.

I'm really conflicted about this book! The start of this book felt like the beginning of a really cool book, but then the main character is someone completely different and the tone of the book completely changes. Everything becomes more of a coming of age story than a mystery - fantasy book.

If this story continued along the path that it was setting itself up to become, I think I would have liked it a whole lot better.

Overall, the book was well written, the style/genre was just not what I expected it to be and the actual main character was just a tiny bit annoying. It was still a good read and the ending was satisfying yet unexpected. I would recommend
