Sinful Curses by Brenda K. Davies

It was a good adventurous book, however some situations/conflicts seemed to drag out longer than necessary, namely the scuffle with the spiders. It was still entertaining, but I zoned out a few times during those chapters.
It also just seemed to be tough situation after tough situation, and while it’s understandable considering the story arc, it felt like it was never ending when paired with the drawn out descriptions during the chapters.

Loving the situation between Sahira and Orin still, it’s unfolding wonderfully and I’m still keen to find out what happens next in the following book

I liked this book WAY more than I expected to. The blurb wasn’t as catching as the others, however the storyline had me hooked. I couldn’t put it down!

The fmc Isabella is more relatable (for me) than any of the past characters I’d read about in Ana Huang’s Twisted series, and King of Wrath.
I also thought Kai was going to be a snoozefest, but his competitive streak and the insight to his personality away from the spotlight had me captivated.

The way Isa and Kai’s relationship unfolded was fun to read about, and I love the incorporation of the characters from the Twisted series (however brief their appearance/mention)

This story felt off from the get go. The way Kaylia and Brokk’s relationship was written wasn’t the most fantastic. Their relationship felt rushed to get to their ~I’m in love with you~ epiphany. But once Kaylia stopped feeling guilty over moving on from a dude who died 300 years ago, I found myself liking it more. And while her hesitation around liking a vampire and moving on is understandable, I feel like it could have been written better than how it was.

The first half of the book— their adventure through the forest and mirror realm— felt very dragged out and got a bit boring, but the story found itself when K and B met the other immortals and travelled with them.

I’m a sucker for these kinds of endings that makes the reader need to know what happened and incline them to pick up the next book

The plot twist that happened in 48 pages is insane!
It’s a nice spooky story, I wonder if Nadya appears in any of the books?
