this is my very sincere apology to toni morrison for this being the only book of hers i have read 

as much as i rolled my eyes at the obnoxious amount of alcohol metaphors, and while i wasn’t sobbing like everyone else, the last few chapters hit me harder than i expected them to (,: i truly feel like the second part saved this book for me because while i love nothing more than when a man isn’t speaking, i will eat up reading the mmc’s pov every single time !!!!!

stephen king, i hope cujo gets you next 

a story on the loneliness of existing, a mundane life, and the complexities of it all. there’s nothing particularly notable about Stoner, yet i found myself enjoying this book for that alone.

perhaps the translation was the reason this book was a let down (?)

this book is about an obsession, desire, and unhinged fixation, which i LOVE to read about, but this was unfortunately so boring </3 sorry meggie, but sabine was not fascinating enough for you to be doing all that 

my first anaïs nin read, and i really enjoyed it! i understand the controversy around this book, but i honestly love a book where debates and conversations about them could be had 

mad at myself for putting this off for so long. i will eat up a second chance romance every.single.time!!!!
