I definitely enjoyed Legends & Lattes a lot more than this book. I found younger Viv and the other characters to be a bit bland and unmemorable. I did enjoy the aspect of renovating the bookshop and the excerpts of the books Viv was reading, but I wasn’t interested in the mercenary/battling aspects of the plot. I was expecting the book to be an overall cozy time and having a Big Bad was not something I came for.
