This was a painful read/listen. Entitled FMC and a grumpy annoying MMC who hate each other. How they wanted to get it on I’ll never know.

Absolutely adored this book! The characters felt so real, and the emotions were so raw, it was impossible not to get completely swept up in the story. The dialogue was beautifully written and made every interaction feel authentic. This was my first Kennedy Ryan book, and it definitely won’t be my last. Highly recommend!

♥️ hockey romance
This was an enjoyable read, but it definitely felt longer than it needed to be. Easily could have lost about 20 chapters. I almost gave up at the beginning because of how the male main character spoke about women (yikes), but I pushed through, and in the end, I’m glad I did. Despite the slow start, the story itself was worth it!

Do I recommend this book: 👍
I’m always amazed by Adrienne Young’s storytelling, she has a way of pulling you in from the start. The mystery unravels at just the right pace, keeping me hooked the whole way through. But I have to say, James’ unwavering love for her toxic brother drove me a little crazy, it was so frustrating! That said, I loved how everything came together in the end. Definitely a book I’d recommend.

I really wanted to love this book, and while I did enjoy it, something just felt off. Maybe it was all the trials? The story started out strong, but the middle dragged a bit, and I found myself losing interest. One thing that threw me was the mix of perspective. One was in first person, while the other was in third. It just felt a little odd and made it harder to connect with the characters.

This was a fun and easy read! It follows a lone wolf who moves to a new town and unexpectedly finds her true mate. While it’s not a deeply emotional or complex story, it’s still an enjoyable escape. Perfect for when you just want a light, entertaining read.

This book started off strong, and I was really enjoying the story. But around the 60% mark, it started to lose me. The momentum slowed, and I found myself less invested as it went on.
Thankfully the ending picked up with a few twists and turns. Overall I enjoyed the story.

Series: Ruinous Love, book 3
Do I recommend this book: 👍
If you loved the first two dark rom-coms in this series, you’re in for another treat with this one.
The audio for Scythe and Sparrow was fantastic, though I do wish they’d used different narrators for each character.
This book weaves through the first two stories, keeping that familiar vibe fans will appreciate. There is a bit of a lull in the middle, but it definitely picks up again.
Overall, it’s an enjoyable read that I’d recommend to anyone who’s been following the series.
