I can appreciate someone being so open and raw about their experiences with mental health. And I can also appreciate that there are some things that have been lost in language or cultural translation. But when I see a book called a "memoir" I expected it to be a memoir and not 95% just a transcript of their therapy sessions. I know it has the tagline of conversations with my therapist, but I wasn't prepared to just read a transcript of someone's therapy (and just in a "me: I said this. Therapist: she said this" kind of way. Perhaps worse is that I listened to it on audiobook, so it was really like listening in on someone's sessions with their therapist.

The story itself is fine. Dragged a little for me, but the target audience will probably enjoy it. I love how they do the audiobook productions for these though! They have a full cast and sounds and it makes listening fun.
