Dry dry dry British humor and reserved emotion. 

My first time! I can’t believe I waited so long! 

Loved the 80’s kitsch, but the story fell into a weird gap - not quite scary enough to be horror, and also too dark to be a throwback 80’s teen book. Meh. My favorite Grady Hendrix is still the Southern Book Club. 

I enjoyed the story telling and I’d like to hear more about the author’s life as an adult as they step into their identity. 

I struggled with the first few chapters switching setting and time…. But I recommend you STICK WITH IT. 

The pacing was great and and I enjoyed the premise quite a bit. 

Rare for me - but I actually LOVED how this ending was unresolved. Is she turning into a jellyfish? Did the agency sink them on purpose? Loved it.
