Tandem read with A Game of Fate

It took me awhile to start this series because I'm not sure how I'll start it until a lot of friends convinced me to do a tandem read (sorry for those who answered on my poll!). I was worried that it will be a hassle to do so but I found a way to do it on my kindle and I was glad I didn't read it in order of publication because although we could see what both characters were doing when they aren't together, most of the scenes are repetitive.

I am a sucker for all greek myth retellings. Aside from Hades x Persephone, I have a soft spot for Orpheus x Eurydice too. And imagine my surprise when they are introduced here! I loved the bonus scene in AGOF and how SSC played on their myth. I think this is the best retelling of them for me because at least they get to have some time together even for just a night.

I'll probably do a full review on Hades and Persephone's characters after I finish the series so I'll just focus on the supporting characters, for now. I LOVE HECATE. I loved how she became friends with Persephone that fast and how she's the only one who could talk Hades some sense (without him being angry or something). Most of the time, I wonder if she is Persephone's wingwoman or Hades. Because she have always rooted for them. Oh and add Hermes too! But to be fair, I've always liked how authors portrayed him (well, except for that on-going series by KR). Lexa is a good friend to Persephone too. But I'm mostly glad she didn't end up with Adonis. Him and Minthe deserved that ending. I just can't wait what everyone's reaction to that though.

Overall, reading the first 2 books is a blast. I had fun doing a tandem read and I can't wait to finish the rest!

I happen to see this series by chance and when I saw that it is a fairytale retelling, I know that I have to read it soon. I was surprised when I started this because I thought that this will only be a beauty and the beast retelling. Little did I know that it will be a mixture of all the fairytales and I was giggling inside every time I noticed it was a nod of one.

A bit of a spoiler but I thought Casimir's true name is actually a name. I had a hard time thinking what name will fit the riddle until we get 4 letters from him. The reveal is better from what I expected and I only wish we have more chapters of them together.

But anyway, I loooved that ending. It was so satisfying to see Roland (and Flynn) get what they deserved. The mirror, meanwhile, is so fun to be with!

Looking forward to read the next book!

First off, I just want to say that Sera is so much better than me because I could never forgive what Monica and the 'Carver' (I still don't understand why they think that way though) did in this book. And I was expecting to see what will finally happen to her dad. It sucks that Felix is gatekeeping that information now because I want to see him get what he deserve and more.

Anyway, I loved reading Felix and Sera's and I wouldn't mind some more of them (maybe in the other book series please?). They are so hot, please! Their banters made it fun to read too. The fast-paced relationship they had didn't seem that fast at all. Well, for me though.

Overall, this is a fun and suspenseful read. I also think that I might read Zeth's books too because after getting a couple of his POVs, his future HEA sounds promising.

This picked up exactly where the last book ended and as expected, another cliffhanger!! And apparently the new character is from a different series (that is now on my never-ending TBR). We only got more questions than answers and I hope the last book has them.

I don't know why I thought that this will be a standalone book because what the hell is that cliffhanger though?! But I should've seen it because there was no way it's supposed to end like that.

This was well-written that I can't put the book down. I enjoyed reading the intense chemistry the characters have and I'm even more excited (and nervous) to find out what will happen next. Anyway, I'm going to do my full review by the end of the series since I now have to get the next two books.

I wasn't expecting a bittersweet ending and me finishing this book at almost 3am. DEG wrote what life actually is and I don't even know what to say about that. It feels so real and raw because at some point I see myself in Arden. Well, in happily ever before, mostly. I just know that I will never forget about this book.

This book is so confusing that I was struggling to finish because I have zero idea what is really happening. I just pushed through it since a lot of people are saying that it will make sense in the end. While it was true, some of it still confused me.

Some of the things I liked is how entertaining Olivia. Like I never thought I'd enjoy a cat's POV. The writing is good too but I don't think it could fall under a horror book.

Overall, it's okay but then I feel like reading the author's note made me appreciate this book better.

This is an okay book but it feels more like a filler that I think it would've been better if it actually was. The plot could also be squeezed into a couple of chapters because tbh all they do is have (make-up) sex. I mean, I'm all in for the smut but just enough for me not to get bored of it.

I'm surprised that there was no urge to DNF this. Maybe I'm curious how everything will play out. I just loathed how it ended with a cliffhanger and there are no updates on when will the last installment be released.

This book is just so cuuuute! I liked how there are a lot of movie references and get to live through Jules (because I want to experience them too okay!). Nate's meddling family is fun to be with too! Makes me wonder if we'll also get to read Nate's sisters stories too. Morgan Elizabeth never failed to give us swoon-worthy MMC.

There are a lot of editing mistakes and one duplicate chapter, which I (surprisingly) didn't mind because I feel like I need to read some feel-good book/s lately.
