Lovely writing by J. R. R. Tolkien. Very direct and descriptive. I believe that not a single word goes to waste in the telling of this story. One for the world. Takes you away to a time when the world was younger and wilder.

Jack London takes the mind of the beast to our fingertips in such a way that it might very well be fact. His writing is direct, almost emotionless, contributing to a dense narrative of the wild world.
