The Atrocity Archives by Charles Stross

3.5⭐️’s The physics/math/chemistry/tech lingo was a bit overboard at times, but that probably won’t get in the way of your enjoyment of the story. A novel approach to dealing with the Cthulhu mythos.
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab

3.5 ⭐️’s. A tighter story might have been better, felt that some of the chapters were padding. Reminded me of a streaming series that was good but would’ve been great with fewer episodes.
A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles

Really more a fantasy than historical fiction, dare I say? But what’s wrong with a bit of magic when the times call for resilience founded upon enduring hope? Things turn out just so, and I’m satisfied with that.
Between Two Fires by Christopher Buehlman

Demons, devils, angels, saints, fallen who raise themselves through selflessness. Familiar themes, well trod, but in a relatively novel setting. Might have to read again to absorb everything.
