“Once again, I am a prisoner, but I am no longer caged.” ❤️‍🔥

Okay, so I actually liked this book. The plot was solid, and I’m invested in what happens next. So much to the point that it’s my next read.

The writing style of this book just didn’t do it for me. Lor’s POV is in first person, and Nadir’s is in third person. Is that a thing? It just read weird to me. I think it was fairly obvious that Lor is going to be heir to the Heart kingdom, but I don’t like how she pretended to be confused the entire book about why she was kidnapped and brought to Aphelion. Like, girl, you know who you are. Act right. 🙄

“She lives her life with a wide-open heart, like she loves every piece of herself and isn't afraid to show it. She embraces everything from her fucked-up chaos to her brilliant, bright light.” ✨💖

This book was aggressively fine. The first book in the series was great but the next two were relatively mid. Rose and Fionn’s story felt rushed to keep the pace of the original timeline. Rose’s character came across as a bit irritating. She was just so all over the place trying to kill men throughout the book that it came off a bit sloppy. The best part of this book was the second epilogue where they set up a spin off. I think we just need new characters and a fresh plot.

“All it took was for a lot of seemingly decent people to put the wrong person in power, and then pay for their innocent choice.” 🫳🏼🎤

This one hits a little too close to home, but I couldn’t put it down. This book gives you all the backstory about what happened before the Silos were built, and I loved that. My only critique was the number of characters. Sometimes it was difficult to keep them straight with the timelines, but I enjoyed it regardless.

“..the loudest words are the ones we live.” 🌄

I really enjoyed this book. Archer is the absolute sweetest character, and his love for Bree motivated him to step outside his comfort zone and become the best version of himself. I absolutely adore that! But on a side note…they could never make me like Travis Hale.

“I’m afraid of the unpredictability of existing. I’m afraid of not being able to control the direction of my life. I’m afraid that no matter how much I plan, I won’t be able to avoid hurtful and sad things. But above all…” I take a deep breath and laugh softly, because what I’m about to say is ridiculous, even if it’s true. Even if it’s me. “Mostly, I’m afraid of attempting something and not being perfect at it.” 💖

This was great! I ate this up in just a few days! Lukas? Immediate…SMASH! Vandy and Lukas had such great chemistry, and I appreciate that their story wasn’t some clichéd, instant love troupe.

I’m sorry, but Pen was trash the entire book. IDGAF what she did for Lukas before they got together. She was a sheisty hoe to Vandy and I won’t forgive her! 💅🏽

“Women solve entire murders on their podcasts, you think I can’t find out all I need to know about some rando I met on the lawn?” 🕵🏽‍♀️

This was adorable. I mean, come on, a hot botanist who teaches bonsai classes at a retirement home? And he threatens to bury your stalker under a tree that lives for 600 years. I didn’t know I needed this man in my life. Abby simply does not miss. 🌳

“Now, more than ever, we are truly equal just as we are complementary. He is destruction and I am salvation. He is ruin, but I am the one who can repair.”

This was an interesting read. I’m not exactly sure what this book was trying to be, but I didn’t hate it. It did, however, take 30% to get into, and considering how thiccc this book was, that’s a lot of damn pages.

I’m a sucker for epic love, and Amon and Sela were all that and more. This book is certainly not for everyone and requires a lot of patience and investment, but overall, the journey is worth it. 💟

“I decided that people-pleasing, fear, and politeness weren’t the hallmarks of a well-lived life, nor were their ugly companions: passive aggression, resentment, and dishonesty. I discovered the world is hungry for women who show up and tell the truth, unafraid and free, expanding to the very edges of who they were always meant to be.”

This book was solid, but the audio was a bit all over the place. I didn’t overly love the podcast clips or the random  ‘squirrel’ additions, but I loved the overall message of the book. ✨

“You might be angry when you realize I didn’t wake you to say goodbye. But it’s only because I no longer fully trust my ability to walk away.” 🖤

This was a rollercoaster, and I enjoyed every moment.  Xaden has solidified his place as one of my top 5 MMCs. The found family is **chefs kiss and I would literally do anything for the dragons.  I’m happy to say that after this book, I’m unsure exactly where the series is going, but I can’t wait to tag along for the ride.
