This was a complete surprise. I had no concept for what this was about and just picked it up at the library due to the winter setting.

This Swedish graphic novel was translated and is more literary than anything else. There are some more complex ins and outs of 70s Swedish politics here but I think it's easy enough to follow as the emotions are the central conflict of this story.

Great art, great characters, and incredibly tragic.

A solid little horror retelling of The Christmas Carol, surprisingly still pretty accurate to the core idea of the story with a very sweet ending.

I absolutely adore this little series, following the adventures of the Sworn Soldier in a variety of gothic settings is an absolute hoot.

Short but satisfying.

Honestly despite some MAJOR padding to the page count (Parts on a blank page for EVERY chapter) this was a great little Christmas Columbo tale.

I forgot the central premise of Columbo before picking this up. Which is that you KNOW who the killer is right away and it's about how they're caught vs. solving a mystery. The format worked extremely well here with a bevy of fun characters and some classic Columbo charm.

Wild...Weird...and extremely emotion.

How do you deal with a possession when it isn't a demon IT'S A DAMN MOUNTAIN.

Such a great experience.

Slow and a bit disjointed but it's all the better for it.

This was a blast.

Just a fun wintery adventure in DnD.

A great overview of a truly WILD story.

The end is a bit padded with recaps from other magazines and a history of Wop May but it was great added information so I appreciated it.

This was tremendously fun.

If you are a fan of the Richard Donner Superman movies you can really hear the characters coming through in the dialogue.

The plot was very run of the mill Superman but it's worth the ride if you miss Christopher Reeves.

Only minor criticism is the Brainiac looks a little too modern.

This was an absolute blast.

It isn't subtle but since when has a story about a man in a giant bat suit ever been subtle?

Fits perfectly into the Tim Burtonverse, however this is WAY to progressive to ever have made it to screen.

Of all the various holiday horror collections I've read this is definitely my favourite.

It has a great sense of balance with a variety of holidays represented, including Fesitvus.

The collection has a high focus on folklore as opposed to being out to scare you. I felt like I learned a lot of new holiday traditions from this story and there were no duds.

A great introduction to some authors I really need to check out more of.
