All The Beauty in the World: The Metropolitan Museum of Art and Me by Patrick Bringley

Ultimately feels like a book written for the author's own satisfaction as much as the reader. Clearly he has reflected on the art he describes so lovingly, but I had a hard time feeling inspired by his prose. A few good insights mixed with many shallow ones. You are at least offered well-researched historical information about some of the pieces & collections described from the Met.
