This book follows Gamma, Delta and the remaining humans on a colony ship on the moon. These humans have been tasked by AI to prepare themselves for landing on hostile earth. The only issue is that there is 25 of them and only 18 seats on the lander.
One thing I liked about this book was the age of the protagonists. They did act with the naivety of 12-year-olds and you can see them begin to mature and grow. They also all had their interests and acted in a childish way that was realistic but not annoying which I liked.
This did however lead to the issue of their relationships. Although they are adults through time they're in the body of 12-year-olds and have not gone through puberty and also have been brainwashed into thinking they're 12. It just felt very off to me.
I did however like the way AI was represented and also the politics and the simulations. It all felt very realistic and the power dynamics are very clear. You'd have to read it to understand that better.
Overall I enjoyed this a lot. I liked the ending, I liked the philosophy and weirdly made me think.
Okay, so, I was craving a priest romance is maybe my expectations were too high.
This book follows Sasha who is in her 30s with a family very into appearances and not married. She then has to help Father Patrick raise money to keep a church program open but she gets way more than she bargained for.
I thought the characters were brilliant. You got an idea as to what each character was like and their relationships with others. I thought that it was a nice touch that Sasha was in therapy. I also think that the beat strength of this book was the way the characters relationships were written. You could tell just how much the characters cared for each other and their relationships seemed very natural.
Mainly I wish it was more dramatic, I feel like the crisis of faith was not as big of a thing as it should have been on Patrick's side and honestly, this is a priest romance I expected all the anguish.
I also feel like their love for each other came to fruition very quickly, it just didn't feel like enough happened for them to feel that strongly for each other but maybe that's just me.
Overall this book had its good points and bad points but I did enjoy it, I just don't feel that strongly about it. I am interested in reading the rest of the series though because again I love the characters relationships with one another. This is a cute Lil beach read.
This was exactly what I thought it would be. Great sex and non toxic partners brilliant, hot and got me feeling a type of way. I loved this, can't wait to read the rest of the series.
This book is a deep dive into sisterhood and friendship.
Set against the landscape of a Greek island, this book follows a group of friends at a hen party, which first starts as a time to relax and escape but as the hen continues, secrets and tension seem to build until it all comes to an unfortunate conclusion.
The characters were easily the best part of this book. Each had something that they were hiding it feeling and for some, I couldn't guess exactly what that was until it became apparent. I did feel that some characters were written better than others, I assumed that they were all supposed to be the same level of likeable but they very much weren't. The only character I wanted to live throughout this hen sorry was Robyn, Elenor and Ana. The others I did not feel too strongly about.
I liked the way that the plot unwound itself though the little snippets between chapters did annoy me, I just felt they weren't needed. But the plot did have me guessing until the end and the reveal seemed shocking but in a way where it wasn't inconceivable which I appreciate.
Overall I did enjoy this, while I don't feel particularly strong about it, I feel as though it's a good beach read if you're into that sort of thing.

This book follows Ramirez who with their new friends decides to go on a trip to an amusement park called smiley land. All seems well with the resident ass of the group playing a prank or two. But once the group get separated and Ramirez starts to see things, it looks like there's a lot more going on with this park.
Okay so first of all, trying to make all these characters likeable when you have a plot that's a slasher is hard enough and then in a short story, it's harder. I felt like for a couple of the characters it wasn't done well but for the most part, I was happy.
The setting was great. Honestly, slashers are cliche in the best way but I loved the fact that it was set in an amusement park. I do wish there was a map though. I get it's an amusement park but I found it hard to visualise how far and in what direction things were from each other.
I love the fact that these characters also weren't dumb, they were aware of the situation they were in, (coming to an abandoned amusement park) and acted accordingly for the most part. There were no oop you're gonna die next moments for me.
Also, I love the fact that it was an actual slasher like nobody was safe, there was no sense of oh this character is not gonna die for whatever reason. I was pleasantly surprised.
Just wish there was more depth put into some bits of the story so there was a little more background.
Overall this was fun, would recommend it if you want a good short slasher.
