A lovely collection of sharp, eerie, and reflective poems spanning decades. This is the perfect collection for folks wanting to get into Atwood’s poetry.

A multi decade sweeping story of two families coming together and splitting part. The narration on this one was really well done. I enjoyed watching the big picture of the story come together as the novel progressed and we jumped between different timelines and perspectives.

This was a fun read. I loved the knitting aspects of it. The footballers were great. I appreciated how open folks were about their mental health.

What a beautifully written, tough story. I want to say that I tried to read this at 17 or 18 and it just wasn’t the right time for me to read it. Now as an adult I can feel the deep pain, desperation, and hope that this story depicts. Morrison reads the audiobook for this one and it is everything.

We’re back in the world of Timber Falls! After escaping her abusive relationship, Willow isn’t sure if she can trust her heart or gut when it comes to men. Having opened a bar with her friends in a new town, Willow is determined to create a sense of community and empower women who faced the same challenges. Will Willow be able to trust herself when her feelings for Eli started to get stronger?
Eli came back to Timber Falls after the death of her sister due to domestic violence. He’s filled with a lot of regrets but is determined to settle down and never make any mistakes again. When Willow comes into his life he finds himself wondering what parts of his past he’ll have to face in order to get the girl.
This was a good read. Be aware that there is talks of domestic violence, threats, and cyber stalking in this book. I thought the author handled it was done with sensitivity. I really liked Eli and Willow together and appreciated that they had their own things to face before they could come together. There was one part of the books where a character was called another’s fiance before we got to see the actual engagement. That was probably my biggest gripe.

Rake by Nicole Parker
Lol. Okay. A witch turns him into a rake and then girlie pop has to copulate with him so that he’s not a rake? Okay. Okay. 🥴

Let’s go cowboys, city slickers, and bars! This was a fun one but the third act break up was a little weird due to a person from the FMC past having something happen to them. Loved the friend groups and I’m excited to see more in this town

I’m not normally a big second chance romance girlie but when I saw the premise for this one I had to snatch it up. I loved that after being rejected by his family while they were married Elise finds herself unknowingly working for Shawn’s mom and family. It was so fun seeing the family dynamics and watching Shawn and Elise circle each other on his return. I can’t wait to read more in this series!

Really well done. The research was obviously extensive and the story moved as if we were reading fiction.
