This book was rough. The present tense writing, the diary and ghost formats…I did not enjoy it whatsoever lol

This book was really doing the most. I don’t really love Serle’s writing anyway, and this wasn’t an exception. I also found a name switched (Josh to Jake) so that frustrated me about good editing. I just feel like with the flashbacks, her illnesss, the papers, all of it just felt like it was doing the most but also the world’s biggest cliche at the same time? Idk

I really enjoyed this! I couldn’t stop thinking about it the entire time I was reading, so it made me blow through it. And the writing her just absolutely captivated me and blew me away. I thought the author made this story feel so real, and that really resonated w me. I want to read more of her stuff!

I cannot believe I am giving this 5 star book a 3 star rating. The 2 star deduction is because I have never gone from enjoying a book so much to being so pissed from such an abrupt ending.
