Yikes, what a disappointing end to this trilogy. I loved the first two books so this was a big let-down.

The main characters barely interacted with each other
 There was little exposition - just scene after scene of carnage and assault.

The villain was one we've never heard of and all the family drama and political conflict built up over the previous two novels was thrown aside. 

Also I never want to see the combination of words "her diamond gaze" or "her diamond eyes sparkled" ever again
