This book has such wisdom and was very inspiring and made me have a lot of self-efficacy. Lysa has such a clear voice in discerning truths amidst all the lies we tell ourselves, helping me to also identify these patterns. Amazing book, highly recommend. Helped me to step back and realise the lies which I have been stuck in and to turn back to God's truths and word.

An amazing end to the trilogy, could not have imagined it any other way. My favourite part of the book was definitely the characters again! Love love love the complexities of their actions and motivations. This book felt very epic and I had a lot of suspense and anticipation about the build up to the ending. Considering that it was influenced by Chinese history, it made a lot of sense but I think that it also did a lot of justice to the characters.
My heart breaks for Nezha though.

Again, a book that I just couldn't put down.
The return of Nezha!! I love the complexities of Nezha and Rin's relationship, it was so interesting to explore and I loved reading about them.
Liked the continuation and added depth to the characters in this book. Feels like there was less that happenned in this book honestly, but the characters are just so good!

A really interesting and informative read. I didn’t know about the women of ravensburg and I appreciate that through this book, their story is being shared. Kasia’s perspective was definitely the most interesting and captivating storyline. I didn’t really like Herta’s perspective at all, it was very one dimensional and kind of a stock character with just blind obedience when she could have been written with more conflict and realism. Nice that catherine was a real person.

A good character driven story. I absolutely hated Andrea with all my being which was the main thing that kept me reading because I just wanted to know what happened to her. Liked how the relationship between Danny and Celeste seemed realistic and you can see the complexities of Celeste in their relationship. Did have to suspend belief a little more than normal with Danny’s character - he just seems like a pushover and not very interesting despite being the narrator.
Thought the storyline with the mother was a bit weak and too easy

Very mysterious and for me hooked quickly. Loved the characters and their relationships  - especially Fermin and Daniel, and Daniel and his father. I really liked how the mystery unravelled and we slowly got to see insights into Julian but how it was balanced with what was happening in Daniel’s life. Great ending and really had me on a rollercoaster.

So so addicting! I become so invested in the story and literally just had to finish it. Really loved the characters and the different strands of development they went through. The story was benchmarked with changes to their environment but the flow of the storyline was smooth and it made it seem fast paced. Got really invested in the characters and the relationships and personal development they had.

Such a good read!! Very captivating and I was so enthralled in it and had to know how it ended. The characters were so interesting - Martha is such a strong and capable midwife which is just so clear in everything which she does. Really captured the small-town feel in the 1800's which was very interesting and a great setting. The emotions of the events which happen are captured so well and just infuriated me. One of my favourite parts were the relationships - particularly Ephraim and Martha's which was just such a sweet love filled with trust.
