I'm not sure I can handle the fact that right after finishing this book and finding out who the author is; I found out she died 2.5 years ago at 37 years old. I don't read fiction, it's just not my thing. These books had me HOOKED. Now I'm shook. I found an author who pulled me in with her writing, and I'm happy to have been able to read her work. This was the first series of books I've ever read from start to finish. I'm certainly sorry to find out she's passed. My heart goes out to her family and friends. I'm sure she is missed.

Excellent read! Very thought-provoking.

As a one-time counselor for Camp Cadet, it was interesting to read about the camp's origins. I wished the book covered a little more about the other troops, but it was a quick and easy read.
