I was reccomended the book by my best friend, it is not my genre of choice I don't like thrillers. And yet, this book is clever and well written. And I had to rate it highly even though, had my friend not reccomended it I probably wouldn't have finished it. So if you like thrillers you will love this.

I absolutely love this series and how this whole universe fits together. I can't wait for the next series to see where it goes.

I'm writing this review to remind myself to read more books with archeologist main characters, because this was written so beautifully it has me hooked.

I cannot wait for the third book to come out. I binged the first 2 books in one day. I love the world building.

I really lived the story and the characters, however I really didn't like
the pregnancy in the epilogue. I just dont like unexpected pregnancies in general, and the book had set Anastasia up to be driven and going for the Olympics all to take that away from her and get her pregnant was annoying
the book is also quite spicy.

It reminds me of Terry Pratchett's the last hero.

I wouldn't have thought to pick up this book had I not been doing a reading challenge, as it is not my usual read. But I am so glad I did. We all think we wouldn't fall for a cult, but as this book portrays the fall is easier than it looks.

I love how Blain manages to mix so much humor and absurdity into what would otherwise be a very dark urban fantasy.
