Fighting Destiny by Amelia Hutchins

First was a freebie but I really like this! Will be keeping an eye out for sales on the remainder of the series but had a storyline with a real hook that kept me captivated.

I don’t know if it was the FMCs personality or the lack of chemistry from the other MMCs but this one just missed the mark for me, I didn’t find the mystery to solve compelling or enough to sink my teeth into to continue the series.

Not a hit for me, this read like true blood but also had a bit more cheesiness and lack of chemistry some how?

I cannot accurately describe my love for this duology, and other than a teensy tiny loose end of the maternal variety that I have darker wishes for- this was perfection. I was hooked, my jaw unhinged and devoured and both What the River Knows and Where the Library Hides will forever be on my bookshelf

Kinda stalled out on this one? I think this is a shmedium amount of angst and a little spice, but it was okay!

Solid 3 across the board for this, maybe I’m just missing Zoe Ashwood but have had honey recommended to me a few times so I’ll take the chance and read the series since they’re quickies.

Not entirely sure what I just read? A tie somewhere between omegaverse and IPB but this was just a lot. I’m sure it’s for someone but I don’t thing it was me.

I’ve been positively digging this series but there was just some of the magic missing in this one for me, but the political subplot was 🔥

An insanely rich in detail story that is filled with polish folklore. Zmoras, stryzgi, all alkonost, banshees and czorts- the list goes on and on, with our matriarch turning the wheel, Baba herself. It’s a quick read, the details do not go unnoticed, and excellent piece of work for the shelf to revisit in the future.

And this is where I wrap up the series! (Next book is an age gap which isn’t my cup of tea). I think I ended up liking Rand and the real Natalie almost the most?
