This is more of cozy mystery vibes. A bit forgettable but okay.

The story was told in a non-linear way. It was hard to follow. I understand what the message was but if organize better it would have been more impactful.

The plot twist was one of the most shocking I have ever encountered. The plot was a bit slow before the twist and some of it was flippant. However, the twist made the story. I wish I could say more but you will have to read it yourself. Very Covid heavy so be aware.

Thank you Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The twist at the end may have hooked me to continue the series. I found some plot elements repetitive but overall enjoyable.

When the problems of all the characters are solved with a conversation then it is not the book for me.

It kept me guessing who did it. None of these characters are great human beings. Some parts were creepy in a good way.

This was a wild and strange ride. Most of it was unbelievable in the end. I felt sadder about a side character's death than the outcome.
