A great read! The magic system was EXTREMELY interesting and was the primary reason I scored it so high because it was a complex magic system without being overwhelming or boring. I found the main character super interesting and loved her morally grey perspective and inner conflict, and Ravyn was perfection from the start 🤤 My only complaints would be that I guessed the main reveal with the Nightmare before it happened, and I love to be extra surprised but it happens somewhat rarely, and I could have used more spice! These are personal preferences though, the writing was strong and the entire plot was incredible and had me immediately diving into book 2!

What a beautiful book! Really interesting world building, a morally grey FMC with attitude, a STEAMY MMC with a filthy mouth 🥵 I devoured this book in a day. Highly recommend! My ONLY complaint is that it felt like some of the conclusions were rushed at the end, and problems were wrapped up within a paragraph instead of playing out longer like I would have liked. But there’s a book 2 coming that I’m very much excited for!

Another sweet read by Liz Tomforde! Isaiah and Kennedy were a great match and the angst from Isaiah was top tier. I didn’t love this story AS much as the earlier books, but I loved the inclusion of all of the characters and the strong character development of both Isaiah and Kennedy compared to how they seem in earlier books, you get to really understand and empathize for them both. I’m looking forward to the next book, but Liz, PLEASE, WE NEED A MONTY/REESE BOOK WE ARE BEGGING!!! 😫😫😫

What a great surprise! It started off fast paced and intense, and quickly the world building begins with the political set up etc. I felt like it was going to be very predictable, but then the things I felt were predictable kind of happened and resolved more quickly than anticipated, leaving me with a major twist at the end that I did NOT see coming, which was a pleasant surprise! I think without the strong ending I would have rated it lower, but she sealed it as a 4⭐️ for me in the last 50 pages for sure! The spice was spicing, not in quantity, but in the type of risqué spice that’s a little more than I’m used to - so I gave it 4🌶️ imo!

I just didn’t care for the banter, I felt like they were a little bit childish in the banter on the dock and it wasn’t doing it for me. I’ve heard rave reviews from other readers though so it’s obviously a hit for a lot of people!

A sweet love story! I really enjoyed Lina’s pov and she felt relatable which made it easier and more fun to read. Aaron was a great MMC and I particularly loved him early on in the book when he’s angry and kind of mean but you can feel that he’s secretly been pining after Lina the whole time, it makes the tension *chefs kiss*! 💋 My only complaint would be that some of the talks later in the book were a little more sappy or some one-liners felt a little forced from Aaron, so I would fall out of the vibe for a minute and have to get motivated to focus back in again and finish the chapter. Overall it was a fun read though, the characters were interesting and the love story was really sweet!

This is definitely a SPICY book, not just a book with some spice mmmkay 🫣 I love a slow burn and enemies to lovers, so the slow tension and the pov swaps were well done and the tension lasted long enough to make the spice feel un-forced (although there are also some spicy scenes described that are not between the main characters, so fair warning those snuck up on me unexpectedly). I haven’t read the previous books by this author but after finishing this one, I definitely want to! I want to read a book for every one of the seven brothers so I’m hoping she does quite a few of them at least because this was such an interesting read! I found the character development entertaining, the bad guys were truly awful and the enemies to lovers had great banter and tension. Really enjoyable read! My only complaints would be that I saw a few of the major plot twists kind of coming, so while I was excited about them I wasn’t SHOCKED, and it was a tad spicier than I’m usually comfortable with with the background scenes that were described (vampire dinner party I’m looking at you). I’ll definitely read the sequel though!

I really enjoyed the MMC, Nick, and all of his ragey bad boy vibes, and Riley was entertaining and interesting to read about as all of her power was exposed throughout the book. It was entertaining and a fun read, but I wasn’t gripped by the plot and the spice was pretty mild. Lucy Score is an immediate-buy for me and her spice is basically unmatched, but this one was not as strong as some of her newer works. I wish I would have read this one before some of her newer books so I could appreciate it more, but I’m 50/50 on reading the sequel.

Ali Hazelwood’s spiciest book yet, including Bride, and I. Am. Here. For. It. 🥵 Equally as enjoyable as her other reads, the writing is 10/10 every single time, but this one had way more spice than her typical books and I am not mad about it AT ALL. Rue and Eli were angsty and delicious and I love them.

It just felt too dark for me. I love fantasy and romantasy and a good forbidden-love, but it felt too dark and seedy from the jump for me so I decided to put it down.
