A pretty good end to this duology! I did feel like this was a tad rushed especially compared to the first one. It felt like the second half of the book was a lot more telling than showing because some of the character growth happens "off screen."
I also didn't like how easily some of the relationships were resolved. I think this overall could have used another 100 pages to really flesh out the charavter development and bring it to a satisfying conclusion.
That being said I still really enjoy this duology and highly recommend it.

I enjoyed this one even more than the first ones. I guessed several of the twists but that didn't make them any less enjoyable.
I still think the pacing is just a tad to slow. The pacing for the plot, not the romance. The romance is a perfect slow burn.

I enjoyed this a lot! I don't think it's quite as good as her other book: Braiding Sweetgrass but I still really enjoyed this way more than I thought i would.

This was a really fun start to a new trilogy and I'm excited to see where it goes. The world building is interesting and it really shines with its cast of characters. I did think the story felt rushed in places but other than that I really enjoyed it.

Overall I liked this quite a bit. The worldbuilding was by far the best part. The world is very immersive and interesting. I enjoyed the slow burn romance blooming and all the characters were fun.
I did think some parts were a little slow, it just didn't feel like anything was really happening. Also this book did the thing I hate where it mentions 500 times how small the FMC is. I also thought that it took way too long for our FMC to start asking questions? Some choices just felt illogical.
But I still plan on reading the next book.

Overall I liked this a lot. It took me a bit to get into it and awhile for the main characters to start to feel distinct (they're both average men, could have used some more diverse voices for me) but once I was into it I really enjoyed it.
