I didn’t plan for this, but I finished listening to this audiobook the day after Trump’s second inauguration. I cried in the car as Michelle read the last chapter. “I sometimes wonder where the bottom is” she despaired after Trump took office the first time. I despair even more now.
This book was thoughtful and thought provoking, a heartfelt and honest memoir of Michelle’s life. She’s an inspirational woman for many reasons, and it makes me sad we don’t have her kind of thoughtfulness in power in the US anymore. I’d whole-heartedly recommend the audio version of this memoir, read by Michelle herself.
Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

A fun short read, not much like a usual Sanderson in style or length but still intriguing and a good palate cleanser after a lot of long books in a row!
It took me a while to warm up to this book and truly get invested in the story, but once I was invested I powered through this book so quickly because I just needed to know that Yumi and Painter would be okay.
So many twists and turns. Very different from other Sanderson books, but really really good. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was that it took me a while to get into it.
Loved this book, a whole book in the voice of Hoid, great!
An intriguing twist of the girl going off to rescue the boy and I loved the character development of Tress as she turned from a meek young girl into a badass woman over the course of her adventures.
As always, the world building from Sanderson was absolutely fab, so different from his other Cosmere books but instantly captivating.
