i usually don’t go for this genre of book and i wasn’t disappointed. i think the small aspect of romance (and good smut) in it made it a lot more easier for me to enjoy cause that’s the type of books i like most but having the twist of a thriller story was amazing and the characters?! i loved them and verity girl. i don’t even have words to describe her.
the bloody ending with the “cliff hanger” making us all rethink it is so good but also so annoying i just want to know what’s what please. thanks.

the characters were so lovely and i loved them all (fuck sasha and shark loans grr) but the bond they all had and just the characters personality’s were cute.
atm i’m not good at hibing star ratings so maybe this would be 4.25? idk because the unhoneymooners (book i read before this) was good too and had low-key same banta between characters) and that was only a 4 so… confusing but anyways x

also the mention of olive loving her body and her “curves” is so nice to hear and made me feel much better because even though her curves are probably much more flattering, it made me relate to a character more then others when they’re described as “skinny” and fitting the beauty stand so knowing that this curvy book character likes her body and doesn’t want to change it like most of them do is amazing to read about.
perfect book for holiday ngl <3

literally the long ass chapters ruined it from the start. okay it wasn’t a bad book ill give it that. some parts were good and i did enjoy some romance scenes between aaron and catalina but god, was there many more annoying scenes. from the constant mention of her “diet” (which can be triggering or upsetting to some people or i guess just pointless) to the constant mention of how big and strong he is and how small she is compared to him. shut up. ALSO the repeated mention of his “ocean blue eyes” omg. we get it.
it felt like the book just kept going on and on and this book could be half the size if the chapters/scenes that are irrelevant were cut out. and some of the dialogue felt repetitive. it felt like it just added more plot and text to try fit a word count for an essay lol.
3 stars is a lot for a book i keep complaining about but as soon as they got to Spain (aka the main part) it was actually good and enjoyable but overall having to force yourself to finish a book just doesn’t really feel like it’s going to be my fav book.
very overhyped. sadly. because all the tropes you’d want are in this. shared bed, enemies to lovers, fake dating, office romance?! like yes. but also no. because it just wasn’t. ugh idk. i feel like i’m going on just like how this book did.
overall. mid.

because of the teen romance aspect, i love this book a whole lot more and the acknowledgement of sad things being apart of relationships is so important to me as well as also actually understanding that teenagers can love each other and not just be messing around.
the drawings were as cute as always.
