i loved the story of this book and the magic/ idea of split kingdoms etc. but i didn’t exactly expect the book to be about what it’s about.
the aspect of ‘saddles’ and just literal rape made me so uncomfortable personally and i felt so uncomfortable when she had to sit and watch others have sex or read about other saddles’ experiences.
let alone the awful comments made about women in this book. i hated it
i’m excited to finish this series and find out what happens though because the ending of this book is a big cliffhanger

honestly loved the cover of this book, it’s so cute. however, i didn’t enjoy the book as much as i wanted to. the end did pick up and get a lot more interesting and i loved the characters, it seems like a inspirational type of book for girls that are preteens maybe. i know if i was younger i would have loved it more!

i’m so sad this whole series is coming to an end soon. i loved this book, as i always do when it comes to heartstopper. i get sad reading this book, not because of the aspects and things that happens but also because nick and charlie are so young and in love and it just reminded me of my ex (trauma dumping now🥰) but i used to tell him we were similar to them, just so obsessed with each other etc and seeing nick and charlie how they are made me so emotional and the thought of them breaking up (ive read the novellas) is so sad.

i loved this book and i’m falling in love with the series! i can’t wait for the 3rd book to come out. i think the first book however is still my favourite just because reading it was as intense as this one was. usually i love stuff like that but
when rose and shen argued, i literally felt so uncomfortable and scared of some ‘breakup’ because i now know after going through one how scary it is😭 literally so stupid but also banbas death made me so upset! she just escaped too… awful timing. AND THIS LOVE TRIANGLE GOING ON?!
l so much unfolds in this book and for it to STILL continue on for another book is crazy to me. loved every second i spent reading this

i LOVED this book. i didn’t expect it to be anywhere near as good as it was. the plot, action and characters were amazing and i loved every second. i went into this serious thinking it was a stand alone and when the book ended with things being unresolved i was so happy to see there were more books!

i bought this book months and months ago. i’m glad i hasn’t read it because reading this while dealing with heartbreak has been so helpful. it’s given me sense of hope for the future, even if it was only when i was reading this book. but that allowed me to be distracted from reality and that’s all anyone can ask for from a book. amazing writing and i loved every friend etc mentioned) i loved the sense of girlhood in it too. i crave that
