This wasn't bad, but I also didn't get the hype. The illustration style was cool, the plot was interesting, but it didn't feel connected to a bigger idea, and it wasn't that groundbreaking in my opinion.

This book was adorable. Such a cute and fluffy wlw romance with awesome discussion about life after death and sacrifices. I underlined A LOT. So glad I found this book :)

I've never read a YA about being a teen mom, and Acevedo really delivered with this novel about cooking and juggling family responsibilities and your own dreams. Obviously the writing was incredible, but I really admired the world-building and the relationship was cute.

This third issue has more from Charlie, with a bit on his mental health struggles as the group takes a trip to Paris. Favorite one so far, excited for the last one!

In this second issue we get to hear more from Nick and it's an adorable coming out story, with all of the struggles that come along with that.

Really wanted to like this, it's been in YA romance circles for 8 years and has a cute aesthetic but I just didn't. Elanor's backstory felt inauthentic and the bullying plot-line seemed forced. Also, her chapters were racist as hell?? For no reason?? Rowell would need to apologize and rewrite before I could imagine recommending this to anyone.

Hiking, Utah, romance, the effects of religion, and the different types of parents when their kid comes out. Super cute, accurate setting, touching relationship. Has something for everyone but the bi rep was all wrong.

Text Me When You Get Home: The Evolution and Triumph of Modern Female Friendship by Kayleen Schaefer

This book is so cute. I consider myself friend-forward but even I hadn't considered some of the arguments this presented. Made me want to text all my girlfriends and reevaluate how the patriarchy had made me feel about our love. Would recommend to all women/femme folks. Let's take back the importance of our friendships. Let's cherish each other.
