the premise was good so was the story line but i was annoyed by the fmc
she was too self pitying and whiney
even though she was 21 and mentioned countless times how she had to grow up too fast and how shes more mature than others her age, she was immature and childish throughout the book
i liked james

why catherine cowles cannot come up with different story lines is beyond me atp

i honestly did not expect a thriller/mystery book to be this emotional 
there were twists and turns in this book, but they weren’t in focus for me 
the overall setting and the eerie situations the characters were put into kept me on edge constantly 
and its what i liked the most
the plot was predictable, but for the first time i didn’t mind because everything else was just so fucking good. 
every character was so well written and written with purpose 
overall a very different take on a thriller book but i loved it. 
also the EPILOGUE WAS FUCKING CRUEL WTAF WHY WOULD THE AUTHOR DO THAT TF???
