Solid read. I loved the two main characters and their connection. I just don't think I'll think about this again.

I've always wanted to read this, but I never expected to love it. I think it touched on every cruel aspect of life and the world, and I was glad that it never held back. It talked about the cruelty towards young women, people of color, impoverished people, etc. the writing was also amazing, and I could perfect picture almost everything.

I loved this so much. I related so much to the main character, being a native person who used to be around their family all the time, and now only sees them a few times a year. Whenever Mackenzie would talk about her childhood, I just felt so nostalgic. I also love books about grief, because I've experienced a lot of grief. The ending made me cry.

I picked this up randomly at my library and I'm so glad. I loved the art and the way that the story was presented. I've been through a lot of familial grief, and I really related to the main character.

This was a good solid read. I thought this was going to be like 30 Days of Night (the great vampire movie with my man Josh Hartnett 😍) but it actually wasn't. I liked the characters, and the vampires were interesting, but I did have some problems with it. I thought that some of the word choices were weird and a little offensive. The story was good though.

I'm fascinated by WW1, and this is probably the most popular fiction book about the war. I thought it was good, and there were a ton of amazing quotes, but I didn't love it. It was a good solid read but it's not a favorite.

The only stuff I knew about Wicked before this was only from Glee. My mom read this then gave it to me. It was alright. The story was interesting, but I found a lot of things to be very iffy. I liked Fiyero the most,
even if he cheated on his wife.

Frankenstein by Junji Ito

Did not finish book. Stopped at 25%.
The original Frankenstein is my favorite book of all time, but this took away all it's qualities. Junji Ito is an amazing artist, but the best part of the original story is the writing. This manga adaptation just fell flat.

I didn't expect to like this so much. Mary Shelley's writing and discussions on grief is always what makes me come back to her. The subject matter does irk me though, so I didn't actually love the story, of course.
