Oh boy... This is my happy place. I can't help it. Every time I read something within the Sadenverse, I'm happy. It doesn't matter if it's something this duo wrote together or separately, I just love it.
Although it seems that in their last few stories they have perhaps lowered the quality of their writing a little (and this is just my opinion. And it doesn't mean that I'm going to stop reading them) I think it's simply because they have been rushed by us, the fans, who are always asking for more and more, which causes them to rush to release their books in a more hurried manner instead of giving them time to better develop the stories. However, in this story, I think Eden has shined again.
Both MCs have depth. Both carry baggage. Kelley with his anxiety, and Thad with his frustration and bitterness at not being able to realize his dream of going pro. And both are buttheads who clash from the moment they meet. But as they spend time together, Thad realizes that Kelley isn't as shallow as he seems, and that his attention seeking, especially through online networks, is simply because he needs validation. It's a way of dealing with anxiety and stress.
And when Kelley realizes that Thad isn't as cold as he seems, and that he's a safe haven to let go, the bond between them deepens.
Although they both try to keep their relationship secret, due to their work relationship, they are not so subtle, and everything comes to a crucial moment when Kelley has to move due to her career, and Damon confronts Thad, and Thad has to decide what he really wants.
Anyway, I won't say more. The story has everything: there are banter, fun moments, sexy moments, romantic moments, a little angsty moments, did I say spicy moments? Well, you will find everything in here. And of course, it has DAMON (and Bradley)!

Ok... First I have to say that I was really really looking forward to East's book. But really. And I really wanted it to be with Zack, because of the hints we had of them in previous books. And maybe because of those overly high expectations is that sometimes when you read the book itself... well, the result isn't what you expected. I clarify, as I have done several times in other reviews, that I am not a fan of poly or threesomes or whatever, but I have read several lately, especially because they are from some of my favorite authors, and because they were perhaps well balanced and well written, I ended enjoying them quite a bit! But... Not so much here.
.....
.....
I don't know, I think that in this case, it's not a "me problem" with poly or threesomes, but, I repeat, the lack of balance between the 3 MCs involved in this story. I felt like there was a first part where it was East/Zack, a second where it was King/Zack, and a tiny part where it was King/Zack and (finally!) East. And when we got to that part... Boom! The book was over!
Despite all this, I STILL ENCOURAGE YOU TO READ IT, because a story that didn't work for me doesn't mean it won't work for someone else. This is just my opinion.

OMG I think this is, among all their books, the funniest of all. I mean, not only is the banter between the two MCs fun, but also their internal monologues, and the situations in which they are involved, including the meetings with the other members of the Queer Collective.
I liked how their relationship progressed, first as teammates, then as friends, then as fuck buddies and then, recognizing that there was much more between them than simply getting off each other and avoiding getting into trouble, and how both of them were growing up without lose their essence.
Also how both, due to their fears, had different ways of seeking comfort, Miles with his "pets", as ridiculous as this was. And even then, one can't help but make sense of his love for inanimate objects. And Bilson, escaping from a city believing that this way he would escape his problems, and seeking refuge in his friends and ultimately, in Miles.
Also how the two lived denying their identity. Bilson, for being too oblivious and for never looking beyond what he might feel for someone other than a woman, and Miles, for fear of rejection from his family.
I really, really loved this story. It has the characteristic stamp of these two authors, and certainly does not disappoint. I want more of this!

OH MY...
What can I say about this book ... Incredible, brilliant. The way it moves towards an unexpected ending ... And again Jennifer leaves us with a murderous suspense, and I can assure you that I have to bite my elbows not to scream spoilers from the rooftops !!!
