This was fun. Jester is very naive in the part he plays as the Joker's dog, and one plot point doesn't get fully resolved I guess Oscar will stay as a dog, which is sad for him. I thought he would adopt Jester, but someone unexpectedly adopts him instead . But the character interaction between Jester and Penny, and Jester's arc with his gang family and his found family is too good.
And it's punny. So be aware.

This was very easy to read. The book could be considered surface-level, as not much is in-depth, but I think fans and newcomers will learn more about Eve either way. Serviceable for a celebrity memoir.
The story behind her name was very unique.

Just as good as the first book! I loved the humor and the characters here. I still think Jeff needs to value the dino friends more; he's a terrible friend. But you see he has made some progress toward the end. And the ending opens the series up for more adventures. so, jeff's not the only alien around now, huh?
I also enjoyed the callbacks and foreshadowing expertly woven into this.
So much fun! I'll definitely keep reading this series. :D

I don’t know what happened to undo the charm from book one. But the pacing dragged here, the character interactions felt sterile, and there was little action until the final act.
Ning hasn't grown on me. She’s a little repressed, but her outbursts of anger or anxiety weren't noteworthy. She and Kang were also kept apart too long for me. Things got considerably better once they met again, but my goodwill was burnt out by then.
The magic system involving tea is still fun and goes full throttle into the mystical. Political intrigue replaces the academy tournament of last time. But the characters' new journey to find magic relics felt long and tedious.
If you enjoyed the first book and like plot-driven stories, this will be great for those readers. But I would have dropped this around the 100-page mark if I didn't like completion so much.

Another lovely cover!
This sequel had more drama thought the overall tone is still lighthearted. Olivia and Helen's struggles basically mirrored each other with them being introduced to a new man that could take their heart from the old one.
Harrison and Ruby were going through it! I wanted more happy moment with them as they were one of my favorites.
I really liked Amy Rose's whole arc and the older-woman mentor she got.
There's some suspension of belief here, but I'm not against escapist stories.
Ultimately, I enjoyed the first book more because it was less stressful, but this was a great series. I look forward to reading more from Marquis.

The artwork is phenomenal, but enough on that.
This book has the strongest writing and the most in-character and plausible interactions since the other books were poor in those areas. The pacing is still breakneck fast, but I liked this book considerably.
I enjoyed that it started with Kori and her sisters on good terms before it turned out as you expected.
What I did not expect was the subtle/implied Cyborg/Victor x Kori connection, which immediately fizzled out when Dick Grayson “Robin” showed up lol. It felt weird, but I wasn’t entirely against it before we went status quo. I say this as someone who loves RobStar.
I think it’s cool that the series is trying to do something new instead of a direct-to-direct rehash of the beloved Teen Titans series. Maybe the writing has finally found its rhythm. I don’t know.
It looks like Victor’s doesn’t get a solo book because we’re jumping full throttle into TEEN TITANS! WHEN THERE’S TROUBLE YOU KNOW WHO CALL—HOLLA HOLLA MY NAME
Lowkey Cyborg is getting done dirty, but I do want to see the team-up too!
