Yet another series I put off starting because I was scared it wouldn't live up to the hype, and then it ended up being everything I expected and more.

For a zombie apocalypse why choose romance, this wasn’t half bad 🤣 I think I would have liked for things to be a little bit higher stakes when it came to the whole undead business, but otherwise this was fluffy, high steam, and enjoyable.

A human afraid of trees finds his match in his former childhood best friend—the very monster who created his fear—as they reconnect after bumping into each other at Creelin U.

Kovi and Tanner’s story is a sweet and fluffy, second chance romance full of low angst adorableness, that continued the use of spooky puns, and introduced us to new and extremely lovable monster friends!

- monster + human
- former childhood besties
- second chance

Zero, a dark and sexy retelling of The Nightmare Before Christmas, revolves around a creepy carnival run by two masked murderers, and the woman they’ve become obsessed with.

It’s short, spicy, and the perfect spooky season read!

- dark romance
- poly (MMF)
- masked men
- primal + breeding kink

CW: on page death, mentions of SA & human trafficking, character gets auditory flashback of SA (not on page)

Precious little angel baby Brandon just wants to make sure he makes a good impression his new roomie, and accidentally triggers the beginning of a mating bond with his roomie instead.

If you're looking for a fluffy, fast paced but slower burn romance that's heavy on the cheese and chock full of spooky puns, The Nokk and the Jock is for you!

- monster + human
- roomies to lovers
- grumpy x sunshine
- queer awakening

Big thank you to Netgalley and Macmillan Audio for the ALC!

Ellis Evans did a fantastic job brining The Nightmare Before Kissmas to life--which to be fair, he could read me a grocery list and I would love it 🤣 & I adored every silly, sweet, and spicy slow burn minute of Coal and Hex's story!

Can't wait for Kris's book next!

Aurora, a down on her luck divorcée who has recently moved back to her home town, meets Yuri, a reclusive grumpy gator man, in the middle of the woods after she stumbles onto his property all thanks to a mysteriously meddlesome dating app that sends her on a scavenger hunt for her missing belongings that she lost the night before while tromping through the woods drunk off her ass.

The two instantly hit it off, and what ensues is an adorably sweet but deliciously spicy fast burn monster romance that had me giggling and fanning myself.

Gotten by the Gator is an absolute perfect start to the Fated Dates series, and I’m so excited for the other books in this series!

Honestly, it's not bad by any means, it's just so glacially paced that I just don't care to continue. Plus good ole Dougie is constantly comparing his relationship with Georgia to his dead wife and how he didn't love her the way he loves Georgia, and it was a bit weird.
