rachel harrison truly just is gonna do it everytime. this book perfectly conveys both raw emotions and humor. the characters in this book are truly messy which i loved and we are seeing our main character and others figure out their inner selves and navigating the relationships around them. i specifically adored rory's relationship with her twin sister.

i loveddddd this cozy mystery! it's literally a murder mystery combined wth sabrina the teenage witch and gilmore girls. it has the perfect balance of levity and also incorporating heavier topics and some depth.

this book had a really interesting premise but it just didn’t live up to what it could’ve been. the writing was okay, but the plot didn’t grab me, and the "spooky" horror ghost elements were honestly barely there. the mystery was the definition of boring. i lost interest after the 50% mark. the big twist was revealed midway, and after that, it felt like nothing was happening. that lack of twists and plot in the later half made me annoyed. the characters weren’t memorable either. they were just two-dimensional and dull. by the halfway point i was completely bored and just wanted it to be over. the second half didn’t do anything to make me think it was worth more than a 2-star rating.

okay so this rating is really hard for me because i LOVED the vibes and the town and the fall atmosphere. i didn't even mind the mc but there was no plot really and i hated the romance.

honestly a bit boring and the characters weren't distinct enough. i still enjoyed the writing and the actual plot but it could have been better.

this was fun but it just wasn't as fun as the first book. something about the first one really hit and this just didn't have that same magic but it was still a good read!
