Moving On by Felice Stevens

So…this one has a few topics that some readers might find triggering or very sensitive. Both men left behind as young boys; one was left with a toxic elderly grandmother & the other signed off to the state & matured through foster care. Ms. Stevens does such a great job writing sensitive material with writing that is clear but respectful to both characters & readers. Kale Williams narrated & as a new one for me, did an excellent job. Listened via Hoopla Anythink.

Second Chance!!! But still married & didn’t know 🤭 yes please! Tucker & Laurie. Just all the feels yet again 🫠😍 I live in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains & walking next door is not possible safely. So to think of living in a close knit town where everyone knows basically everything about everyone else is greatly missed. Anyway, there is 1 more story & I’m hoping it’s about who I think it is. Cause what happens in Vegas never actually stays in Vegas, just saying. Anyhow, it’ll be sad to leave this community for sure. Mr. Toma is an exceptional narrator & doesn’t ever disappoint. This was light, fluffy & full of wintery xmas holiday stuff. Max & Luca are just scrumptious & I want to wrap them up in a strong firm hug 🤗. Loved that this was 4:36 hours-ish so not a huge investment & the narrator was chefs kiss & also new to me. Listened via Hoopla Anythink.

I will say that I am glad to leave Haven Hart feeling all the stories have been told & generally well written. Now, 1 more story with 1 more enemy but also Joker’s Sin & maybe a holiday thrown in for good measure. Now, no no library has the audio for Law of Attraction so I will have to physically read it but that’s a-okay with me! Listened via Hoopla Alameda.

Really liked this quartet… but I do have a few complaints. The underlying attitude about the “bad” people in Haven Hart making it a terrible place to live?? I’m fairly certain that the author wants the reader to feel the other sides pain or whatever, but the characters never acknowledge that Black & Christopher Manos keep the balance. I felt that the author really reached for content that honestly wasn’t truly needed for these books. I honestly prefer the Haven Hart series more bc it feels more fleshed out & Joker’s Sin was a stressed afterthought. John Solo & Philip Alces did a fantastic job narrating!
