Just absolutely ridiculous and totally trope-y. I loved it. Perfect palate cleaner and laugh out loud read. Would recommend to anyone who likes romance with a little spice and funny, lighthearted books.

My favorite part of the book is when Frederick goes to Crate and Barrel. Whenever I grab a sauce pan I chuckle to myself now.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 5%.

Published in 2021 with several references to the pandemic being “over” in the first 30 minutes made me want to scream.

Reading this in 2024 and remembering how there were literal freezer trucks to hold dead bodies in 2020-2021 because hospital morgues were overflowing makes me feel physically ill.

Maybe don’t mention COVID or the pandemic AT ALL if you’re not going to write about it with the delicacy and nuance it deserves. Real people died. Real people are dying. Don’t be so fucking callous.

This was such a fun lighthearted read. Very low stakes and very funny. I found myself laughing out loud multiple times while listening to the audiobook. Definitely NSFW but not very spicy.
